  • Overview

    The Network Administrator in the Information Technology department conducts routine, regimented testing and maintenance of wide area and local area networks (WAN/LAN).  As a matter of priority, the Network Administrator works to minimizing downtime and quickly troubleshoot/resolve related server issues.  This position holds a depth of knowledge on and understands the schematics of Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center (TVHC) networking systems to a level that supports both short and long term planning and coordination of server infrastructure, phone system and network security.  As the lead in server maintenance, the position is responsible for monitoring network performance and making recommendations for future upgrades and possible redundancies as needed.  This role may also function as the Systems Administrator for the organization and may be asked to perform duties as assigned related to all aspects of the organizations information technology functions.  The position requires flexibility and dexterity in performance of duties, as the needs of the Information Technology department are dynamic and will change over time.


    This full-time benefited position working 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday (may include periodic evening and Saturday hours). The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills working with diverse populations.

    • Perform day-to-day operation of our network including the support of our network infrastructure, including both physical and virtual servers running Windows operating systems, firewalls, switches, and storage equipment.
    • Plan and execute software, system, and network upgrades.
    • Responsible for the inventory of Computers, software licenses and warranties.
    • Evaluate, monitor and modify systems to maintain system efficiency.
    • Identify and resolve security risks. Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.


    • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or four (4) years of related  experience plus an associate degree.
    • Solid and proven experience working with diverse communities in a non-profit or healthcare setting.
    • Minimum of one year of directly related experience as a Windows System Administrator, MSCE certification for Windows 2008 or higher a plus
